Probate

After a loved one passes away, a probate may be initiated as the legal process which ensures that the loved one's property is distributed according to her wishes. Probates can be a long and complicated process depending on the state of your loved one's affairs at the time of her death. We can help guide you through the process in the following ways:

  • Preparation and filing of all legal documents with the court

  • Preparation, filing, publication and mailing of all legally required notices

  • Identification and valuation of assets

  • Distribution of assets

  • Sale of estate property

  • Handling claims of creditors

Trust Administration & Distribution

Many people believe that if they have a trust they'll never need an attorney again because the distribution will happen automatically. While an attorney may not be as necessary with an experienced corporate trustee, many people prefer to appoint someone they personally know and trust to administer their trusts. Whatever the situation, we have experience assisting both individual and corporate trustees with the following matters:

  • Trust administration

  • Identification of trust assets

  • Resignation of trustee

  • Appointment and acceptance of successor trustee

  • Distribution of trust assets

  • Preparing trustee's deeds

  • Trust disputes - breach of fiduciary duties
